Stay away from this place. My mom came here for a mammogram. They billed $248. I paid it. Then they billed us again for the same exact charge, and I paid it again. After being paid twice, they still sent the account to collections. Now they’re telling me I have to pay the $248 again because collections claims it’s still owed. That is insane. I recently had some imaging done with upmc. I started to get phone calls from a number I dont recognize. Here it was a collections agency calling me about a bill I didnt know I even had with quantam imaging. Never sent me a bill or anything. If they want people to pay a bill even for 10 dollars, here is a wise thing to do, send the person a bill Instead of taking the easy way out and sending it to collections.
Sent the bill directly to collections without mailing one to us
Quantum billing is horrible. UPMC and Quantum are HUGE scam. They double bill. You agree to the good faith estimate and then lie about additional charges not listed on the signed good faith estimate. I know this is my one only time that I will ever use UPMC and Quantum.
I'm 20 minutes removed from having a procedure done by Dr. Jared Roberts and his team, contracted by Holy Spirit by Penn State Health. I see that there are some billing issues, but I haven't experienced that yet (nor should I, since I was hit as a pedestrian, and there are plenty of auto and standard medical insurances to go around). Concerning care (not billing), with the Quantum team, that seems to operate the radiology department at this hospital, I can't say enough.
