I am writing to formally report the unsanitary conditions at Quality Inn Kingstree North during my stay over Memorial Day weekend. The establishment is in a state of severe neglect and poses a significant health risk to guests. I stayed at this hotel out of necessity due to a lack of nearby options, and it was easily one of the worst lodging experiences I've had. From the start, the property felt neglected and unsettling. The walls are so thin that there is effectively no privacy--I could hear conversations, television, and other noise from both adjoining rooms as if they were happening inside mine. This place needs some work. There is a beautiful oak tree in the back lot with a bench and deck around it. Unfortunately it is broken and dirty. There is garbage all around, empty beers in the parking lot, trash along the tree line, even garbage floating in the pool. If the outside of the motel is that dirty it reflects poorly on the inside. I booked the WRONG location. SO, I could not back out of the reservation. The NEGATIVE REVIEW from others is TRUE. The room smelled, the rugs are filthy beyond hope keep house shoes on. My Wife and I had to purchase Raid to keep anything from getting in our bags or on us. It worked only 1 baby roach. We bought packs of Febreze air fresheners and Lysol cans (doorknobs were filthy and the remote for tv, we disinfected the toilet) All this for 4 days 3 nights.
