Simple and convenient. Nothing fancy, not super clean either. Worth the low cost to be 5 min for the museum and the heart of the shops in town.
someone broke into our room while we were out for the day, and rifled through our medications. after the police came and took our details, we asked for a refund on an upcoming reservation (admittedly nonrefundable), because we no longer felt safe. the hotel refused. we also asked Hotels(dot)com for help, because we'd made our reservations there, and Hotels(dot)com told us the manager refused to make an exception. so, not only is this hotel not safe, but they clearly do not value guests' sense of safety.
If your staying in the Elmira Corning area this is the Quality Inn you want to stay at. Other Quality Inn's are so ran down and dirty. This is a beautiful hotel.
