QC CHARGE

3.1

About this business

QC Charge started as an idea to build the best electric vehicle charging equipment that money can buy. QC Charge was born in 2013, with humble beginnings first in a hallway in the founder's house, then moving to a bedroom, and eventually a garage. We now design and manufacture all QC Charge equipment in our state-of-the-art facility in San Diego, California. Before founding QC Charge, founder Tony Williams spent many years shuttling between Europe, North Africa and the Middle East as an airline pilot. He bought his first ele... read more

Brought my Model S in due to bms_029 error and James was very helpful in taking in the car for a battery diagnostic. Communication was awesome prior to, during and after looking into the car. He confirmed that multiple modules needed replacement, but ended up not charging me for the diagnostic since the bigger problem was needing a HV battery replacement. He even recommended me several companies that do it. Confirmed that the business was under new management, so previous reviews regarding old ownership is less relevant now.... read more

This is a Review for Konduit EV (New name and administration/ownership, I had no experience with how it was before, but though lots of people would judge Konduit based on its previous management and that seems unfair): I got my 2023 Leaf J1772 charge port fixed here. After Nissan claimed that a (at the time brand new) leaf's charge port couldn't possible not work except if it was user error, I was left having to pay a couple grand to fix my new vehicle. I bought the replacement part on my own and scheduled an appointment to ... read more

Months and months of waiting, with my vehicle in the shop, this business very rarely called me back or returned my emails/messages. I had to nearly harass them for 6 months in order to get the part that my shop had paid for. I kept getting one reason after another as to why they couldn’t ship me the part or that it was waiting on the counter for me and just hadn’t shipped. It seemed like endless lies. I wouldn’t have gone through with the order, had my shop not already committed and did not have an alternative.

After speaking to the Owner, Tony. We described the car had previously been diagnosed at a tesla service center as needing a new rear drive unit. Tony suggested to us that he could most likely repair the drive unit, using his service called a "Coolant Delete". I inquired on the cost if the coolant delete was not enough to repair the drive unit, and he said he could not match Teslas price, so I could then take the car to tesla if he determined his "repair" would not be sufficient, AT NO CHARGE to me. Once Tony had possession ... read more
