RecommendedPutnam’s is by far the best ski shop on the Seacoast. Great selection and amazing service with super Knowledgeable and friendly staff. When the kids were growing, we swapped used for used ski equipment almost every season, at a really low cost.

We have been purchasing just about everything from Putnam's for numerous years now. I love their selection of winter apparel and gear, the selection of childrens skis, boots and bindings. I bought new boots for myself after 10 years here last year, and now only were they patient with me, but they were patient with my kids! Everyone is super helpful, patient, and kind.

Been shopping here several years now for our whole family. Scott (Chappy) Chapman, Anthony, Josh, and others who have assisted me are always friendly, helpful, patient (a must with kids in the mix) and knowledgeable. We have bought used and new equipment, clothing, as well as leased skis for the kids, and had our stuff tuned and/or repaired. I have always been happy w/ the results. The one time they did make a mistake they more than made good on it. We have been loyal customers ever since.
Good enough local shop but really depends who you get to help you. I'm an advanced woman skier and was looking for boots last year. Bought Technica's, my boot of choice but the guy helping me was pissed off and more concerned about getting home for the football game, awful customer service with the "I'm so cool I work in a ski shop mentality."(a ski shop not in a mt. town btw) Needless to say I bought a $600 boot that is a size too big. Fabulous shop! I will go there for ALL of my ski gear and accessories. Josh was a big help - patient and VERY knowledgeable about products. They gave me a very fair price for trade-ins. You will not find this kind of service in a big-box store!
