Locally produced food - within a 60 mile radius of South Bend. Most of our producers use organic growing methods. Those that are not certified organic use sustainable growing methods for our area. Value added food is all produced within the same radius. Meats are all hormone- and antibiotic-free and ethically raised. We <3 Purple Porch! Salad bar and hot food are awesome...bakery items are super yummy! Our fave are the ginger muffins! Oh, and there are great groceries, lol! :)

I love The Purple Porch. Their food is fresh, innovative and delicious. The atmosphere of Cafe Max is comfortable, cool and welcoming.
I love getting nearly all of my food from the Purple Porch because I love being in a local food co-op. The business model appeals to my nature. The idea of keeping local money circulating through our local community appeals to my common sense. I love knowing my farmers and producers. All this enriches my life. And the kale salad and gluten-free brownies are so good!
I have driven by it and did a double take, I cant wait to go in and visit
