the color and shape were perfection and all was going well until it was time to cut my cuticles… OUCH. I came in with one bad cuticle, I left with 3! The cuticle trimmers were so sharp and I was cut layers deep into my skin in places on one finger and once more on another finger. I was met with apologies and nothing more. While i received both a beautiful manicure and pedicure, I left in actual pain. Today my finger is severely swollen as is my wallet for a $200 service. Not a great feeling…
I got a regular gel manicure which turned out great and had a very fun design. When I was ready to get it taken off, the only options they have for online booking removal appointments was “removal acrylic gel x.” So I booked that and informed both the secretary and the nail technician that I only had regular gel. My technician then shaved off the gel to the point where my nails were paper thin, brittle, and my nail beds red. Overpriced - feet were not as smooth as $80 warrants and gel-x French manicure is chipping after less than a week.
I was recommended this place by an acquaintance and went twice. My first time went alright so I went a second time a couple months later. The second time, the nail tech cut several of my nail beds open. The day after that manicure, one of my fingers started hurting pretty bad. Two days later, that finger swelled up. By the third day after, there was a pocket of yellow pus around the nail bed and it became clear that I had some sort of fungus or bacterial infection.
