When you sign paperwork that you want a disbursement of interest 365 days after the initial deposit, Puritan Life Canvas Annuity pays out interest on day 356 or 367, whenever they claim that they mailed the check or processed an ACH Direct Deposit. The contract states that they will pay out the interest on the day you select, but Canvas Annuity pays it out earlier or later. This changes the amount of interest paid. terrible experience - had policy for over 30 years -paid the bill as soon as received every time - paid all bills in full for amount requested - received the last bill and paid as usual - 2 weeks received a letter stating policy would be cancelled tomorrow as I owed over $200.00 called and they said I was behind on payments I stated I paid the bill that was sent to me - was told it was not enough questioned why send a bill for an amount that I paid that was not correct? then was told the policy was cancelled., and would hav... read more
