Im not sure that they should have Pilates in their title. I went to one of their classes and form, allignment etc. was not a focus unlike every other pilates studio I have been to over the past 6 years. The studio is nicely decorated but a bit cramped.I have been to several Pilates studios in the area and I have some favorites, Pure In Form, I might go back, I might not. This is such an amazing studio - I have been taking both private and mat classes from Patty for over 2 years and I finally have abs again!! Patty is the real deal - one of the few teachers in the area who is from the stringent Pilates certification era (certified by Romana - who was taught by Joseph Pilates himself). I started taking mat classes at Pure in form last January and loved it from the start. I had never taken Pilates before and am still amazed at how it has changed the shape of my body. I have made many friends in class and look forward to seeing people every week. Jen and Patty are both very encouraging instructors and never made me feel like I couldnt do the exercises - even though it did take me awhile to learn them!
I have been taking Pilates at Pure In Form for over a year. Patty is very knowledgeable about form and proper alignment. She ensures that all movements are done appropriately and that her students are kept safe. Class sizes are small so that she can watch everyones form. I have found Pure in Form to be one of the best values in the area. Prices are reasonable for the expertise you receive. Patty challenges her students, connects with them on an individual level and truly teaches them how their bodies work.
