If you want to get stronger, both physically and mentally, Pure Barre SS is the place to go! The workouts, the variety, the community keeps me coming back. The teachers are fabulous - the cueing, the encouragement , the music, and the fun (ok, ok, the fun is the feeling you have at the end of class! )
2026: I've been coming to Pure Barre Silver Spring since 2021. The workouts are always different so class is never boring. The staff is great and making coming very enjoyable, even at 5:45 in the morning. 2024: Pure Barre is a complete workout that can be modified for your current abilities. The Silver Spring staff is friendly and helpful, making sure you get the most out of each class.
It's truly insane to me that I paid $18 for a pair of socks because I didn't know I was supposed to bring any (trial class for me). It was 80 degrees outside and I wore sandals, knowing I'd take them off for class. At all previous barre classes and studios I've been to, socks are optional. I checked the confirmation email beforehand to ensure I wasn't supposed to bring anything specific such as a mat, to find nothing of the sort. The classes are great; it’s a great workout space. I enjoy the variety of classes and that it’s low impact workout. This studio has a great community, too.
