RecommendedWe had wonderful care for our dog Phoenix. He was seen by the vet,then a neurologist, Dr. Cummings was called in. Sadly they determined it was most likely cancer. We proceeded in getting an MRI, (and thankfully they were caring enough to let us spend a little time in ICU with him,that meant the world to us,as that was our goodbye) it was confirmed to be brain cancer. RecommendedThis place is amazing! What the staff and students did for our dog Maddie was excellent! She went in for emergency surgery because she was paralyzed in her hind legs from a spinal injury and now less than 2 weeks later with their help she is walking with the help of a sling and standing on her own for short periods of time! Our family is so grateful for all of you that had a hand in her recovery......from the bottom of our hearts, Thank u!

Brought our young adult rescue shih tzu here in August of 2017 with the intention of him having surgery to correct an involuntary urine leaking problem. We went to Purdue based on recommendations from our local vet and a local vet specialty center (Chicago area). The first day at Purdue was spent doing testing and examination. At the end of that day it was concluded that surgery may not be able to correct the problem as we had originally anticipated. I have had different pets here over the years. I truly recommend the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine and Teaching Hospital. Your pets will have the very best care, highly trained staff, and the top trained veterinarians.
Very disappointed. I’ve always heard GREAT things about Purdue Small Animal Hospital and their program. My vet set us up for a referral to be seen within two weeks with their Dermatology department. They called once to schedule but I wasn’t with my phone. I called back for a week straight. Left two messages and was on hold collectively for over an hour. RecommendedDr Knapp and the entire oncology staff continue to look for ways to help dogs, like our sheltie, who had TCC - bladder cancer. As time and funding continues, we see the great developments that have been made. Hopefully, someday soon, people won’t have to worry about cancer in their fur babies.
