I have been taking my children to Dr. Irvine for 10 years now. When my daughter was born at 24 weeks gestation and spent the first several months of her life in the NICU, I knew I would need a good pediatrician as we cared for her at home. One of the NICU nurses at INOVA Fairfax Hospital recommended Dr. Irvine to me-she was taking her own children to her for care. Worst pediatrician I have ever been to in my life. Dr. Irvine is extremely unprofessional. She will talk about clients in front of other clients. I used the after-hours line once when my child was very sick, and she acted like we were inconveniencing her. Don't offer an after-hours hotline if it is "inconvenient" for you. Worst of all, when we tried to switch doctors, they tried to refuse giving us our records, making it difficult to get my sick child in to see a new doctor. She should be ashame
I do not have any family members nor have I ever met this MD face-to-face but I WOULD NOT recommend sending ANY patient to her. I have only spoken to her on the phone and she has a VERY nasty attitude and is extremely rude. Not Professional at all.
Have been taking my children to Dr. Irvine since they were infants, and the oldest is now nine years old. It is rare to find a doctor like Dr. Irvine who takes the time to really listen to parents/patients and make sure all questions are answered. Very little wait time to see her, if any. Highly recommend!
Very unprofessional! Her and her receptionist would gossip about patients in front of other patients. She has demonstrated a nasty attitude more than once. At one appointment when asked about nutrition she looked like a deer in headlights. Plenty of other dr's to choose from. Save yourself the negative experience.
We like that Dr. Irvine is the sole practitioner, so we always see her, never a nurse, PA or other doctor. This provides consistency of care. Also, she is always respectful of our concerns and answers questions thoroughly.
