After reading Laras review,my husband and I had a similiar experience at Pups. We have never gone back. We went there at least once a week or more. We enjoyed the atmosphere,the people. But for some reason Mr Dunn had an attitude. Never again.

Best hangout in Wilson! Very organized well ran bar! Staff very polite, fast and knowledgeable. Pup's has a great environment, best people around.

Worst Valentine's Day of My Life!! – I had the most unbelievable Valentine’s Day ever! A friend made reservations for us at Pup’s Steakhouse. Oh the Valentine’s dream, dinner at 8:15pm and all will be wonderful. My hubby should have never noted earlier the day before that we were going to have issues with timing and problems with reservations. We arrive at Pup’s at 7:50. Lived here for 15 years and finally we no longer have to drive to Raleigh for an excellent steak and very reasonably priced. The management is always so welcoming! We have taken so many family, friends, and customers there who all have loved the experience. The prime rib is unbelievable as is the Ribeye and Trigger Fish. We love the scallops as an appetizer too. Don't miss this. There are painting from local artists that really add to the charm of this fine establishment.

100 It is awesome to live in a smaller community and no longer have to drive to Raleigh to get an excellent steak. Pup's has been the best thing to happen to Wilson in a long time. Daily specials include Prime Ribs, Trigger Fish, Scallops, etc, always something new and something delicious. The restaurant is decorated very nicely with tasteful paintings from local artists, and the staff always greets us with such familiarity. You must try the Ribeye as it is the best I have ever tasted! Don't pass this up!
