Do NOT go to Dr. Punzi for an FAA medical. He 100% could have used CACI and I could have walked out with my certification that day. Instead he chose to defer, and now I will be months fighting the FAA over something so incredibly simple and common. AVOID!
Guard your career, pilots. Be careful going here for an FAA medical. I’ve never had a medical like it and have had them all over the country. They make you strip into a gown, and he turns the lights out to look at the veins in the back of your eyes to check for diabetes the eye test alone takes like 15 mins. When I was going here I was super fit and in my 20s so I was fine but Someone looking this hard is looking to find fault.
