It took me over a year to face it, feeling as if being bi made it not okay for me to grieve publicly. Thanks to a great friend I got up the courage to go. It's been a while since I went but I still remember all the emotions I felt there. Even with the negativity from the act, the positive energy there was amazing. I have never felt more in tune with that part of me before.
I still can't bring myself to go to the memorial sight I lost 3 amazing people and I was supposed to go there that night but I was sick idk if I'll ever be ready to go to the memorial sight

Very moving. Still so strange after more than a year that it still stands there empty and people - normal people - have created it into a shrine. It is both depressing and beautiful.
