If you want bad service and mediocre Italian come here. – I have been to this restraurant many times over the years and never have I had such bad service as I did the other night. I was very disappointed. First, after he had been staring at our table for about 10 min, I had to go and ask the owner just so our table could get some water and order our dinner. Although very apologetic, the owner (and the waiter that followed) did not do much to redeem the service. We asked for more bread, did not get it. We waited for our check... read more
Always a Great Dining Experience – I really do like this place. It's what I would call a good neighborhood, family-friendly restaurant. The ambience is simple and open, and while it can get a bit noisy depending on who else is dining, we have never had a bad experience here. The service is attentive but not overbearing, and the food is always excellent. I highly recommend it. The eggplant parmesean is one of my wife's favorites.
Best Priced Italian Food in the Triangle – Great portions, great sauces (especially their garlic toppings and marsala), and the best bread and dipping sauce around. I'd love to see these guys bottle and sell their homemade olive/sundried tomatoes/garlic dipping sauce, but, they say its made fresh every morning and bottling it would take away the flavor. Very friendly service and by far the best value for an authentic Italian fare in the Triangle (you must try the pink vodka sauce).
Delicious Authentic Italian with Huge Portions – My husband and I have eaten here twice with friends and we all loved it. The food is amazing with large portions and the owner and staff are very friendly. We have not been disappointed with any of our selections. You must try this restaurant!!!
Excellent authentic Italian food in a family setting – You won't be disappointed by the authentic Italian food available, and don't be concerned about the low price. Be sure to give one of thier pizza's a try with some friends and you'll leave happy and full, with a check that won't cost you an arm and a leg. Portions are generous in size and you will most likely bring some home to continue the experience for the following day's lunch. Ask for some of thier bread and oil dip which makes an excellent starter for any meal. A m... read more
User review by eemom – If you are looking for authentic italian food, you need to try Pulcinella's
Editorial Review – Located in the Woodcroft Shopping Center, this family style restaurant serves Northern Italian cuisine including pizza, veal, chicken, seafood and pasta.
There are better... – Tried it two times, got pasta once, and their Pulcinella's Specialty pizza the second time. Didn't think there was anything special about the food either time. The pasta wasn't that flavorful, and the pizza was extremely soggy in the middle (probably due to using fresh vegetables). Will not go back again, since there are better around.
Not worth going back – I really wanted to like this place, but could not. I have tried this restaurant twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times I was disappointed with the food. To me it does not taste like authentic Italian at all. In fact, the calamari tasted like it was frozen before cooking and the pasta dishes were no better than something I could cook for myself at home. Although it looks quaint, the atmosphere is not very inviting once inside. I would even recommend a chain like Maggiano's over this place... read more
