I''m much more happier and healthier now that I go to Northwest medical group in Laporte because Dr. Hamwi is such a hassle to honor appointments and renew perscriptions.
5 stars. Doctor and staff are always attentive and personable. I walked in without an appointment because I wasn't feeling well. I was seen within 5 minutes. I am always treated with dignity and respect, age 78 that is important to me. I am glad we have quality care in our community.
Dr. Al-Hamwei is an ignorant and incompetent person taking advantage of the people in Knox who cannot travel for quality Healthcare. If you are any kind of overweight you will NOT receive any help, testing, or compassion. He has said, and this is a DIRECT QUOTE, "fat women use PCOS as an excuse to be fat". Not a good fit for myself or my husband. Seemed great in the beginning but more about his rules and beliefs than our concerns and problems. Keep in mind he’s an internist and not a GP. I understood more knowing what an internist does. Do yourself a favor and research every dr on your own. It’s worth the time to know what kind of dr you NEED.
The amount of respect that I have for Dr. Al-Hamwi and his team! This place definitely cares about the individual unlike other places! Keep up the great work!
