Mike, just because you used to be a cop, doesn't mean you should defend police brutality. Kicking a prone, handcuffed person in the head is not a "tactic for deescalation." Quite frankly I don't know how you don't choke on that Orwellian phrasing (must be all that practice in the court room). When you swear an oath to protect and serve, it's talking about the citizens, not the corrupt cops who get a "kick" out of brutality.
