I've lived in Utah, spent a lot of time in Mexico, briefly lived in Tucson AZ, traveled extensively in the West and eaten in literally hundreds of Mexican restaurants, so when I say the best Mexican restaurant is in Abingdon VA, I have some credence. Puerto Nuevo has the best menu, best prepared dishes and friendliest staff, plus free oysters on the half shell every Monday night. We eat there at least once or twice per week--It's that good! I enjoyed the staff who were very attentive and friendly, the food was decent and plentiful, prices were beyond reasonable, and the interior was clean. Go by and get you some lunch or dinner with friends.
