Service at this location has declined. I’ve been a customer here for years but will be shopping for a new pharmacy. Their phone system for requesting refills informs that they will contact my doctor to request when a prescription has expired…. However, when I went to pick up at the time instructed, the pharmacist told me that I am the one who must contact my doctor….not them. After being turned away at Walgreens around 8:00 p.m. due to my insurance being out of network, I discovered that the Publix pharmacy was both in network and still open. I spoke with Ms. Debbie and her colleague, and despite having only 45 minutes before closing, they stayed on hold for 35 minutes to successfully transfer and fill my prescription. Disappointed in the pharmacy service. Something has changed recently. It is not what is used to be in terms of helpfulness. The rest of the store is great.
I’ve used this pharmacy for years, but will be transferring my prescriptions after a careless mistake. I asked when the new Covid vaccine would be available (2024-2025) and was told it was in stock. After getting it, I saw on the paperwork that it said 2023-2024, so now I wasted a day being sick from the side effects and I will have to get the new one anyway when it actually does come out. Reading labels seems like a fairly basic and important skill for a pharmacy employee, but evidently it’s not required to work here.
