I wanted to think this was just a douchey bar cluttering up White Oak, but actually, Public House is a perfect hangout. The crowd is laid back and slightly on the mature side (seriously almost no douches). The bartenders seem to be genuinely happy people, which makes the service perfect. Lots of local beers (I think they sell everything Buffalo Bayou makes) and a few locally-made snacks. Seating is cozyish and conducive to conversation, plus there are darts, foosball and patio games. Bring your dogs!
