Superb. Great location, atmosphere is perfect for Charlottesville, Happy Hour specials are on point, oysters delicious and the staff is courteous and knowledgeable. A must visit.
We ate dinner here last night and everything was phenomenal! The drinks, the food, and the service were all top notch and beyond all expectations. I highly recommend this place and check it out before six for drink specials and all the raw oysters ever!!!
Loved this restaurant. We are visitors that travel with our dog so particularly when the weather is hot it is key to finding good places to eat that are Dog Friendly so our pup can be with us not shut in the car or hotel room. Public Fish and Oyster went above and beyond at making us and our dog feel very welcome. The food was absolutely amazing. I ate mussels and frites hubby ate sesame crusted tuna, and we also had a side of fried brussel sprouts, all was fantastic. Would definitely recommend to others travelling with pets... read more
Amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere! I highly recommend sitting at the bar. Oysters, ceviche, scallops were all delicious. We’ll be coming back for sure!

Shrimp cocktail was fresh and delicious. Scallops and lobster were both outstanding. Key lime pie was delicious. Decor and atmosphere nice and casual. Excellent service.
Great and friendly service. Probably the best fresh oysters in town. Everything on the menu is great.
