I know everyone's experience is different. My experience was great. We have to remember the ladies and gentlemen of the Public Defenders Office are extremely busy and over work. I’ve called over 100s I haven’t actually gotten ahold of my attorney one time yet it’s been over 6 months she hasn’t filed anything to my knowledge
Absolutely the worst service and horrific lawyers ever! The switchboard operator not only refused to answer the most basic and non-case specific, public knowledge question a person could ask, she was so hateful and unhelpful you'd think I'd committed a crime against her personally. The PD assigned to my sister's case, after a 3 year wait, counseled my sister to plead guilty as part of a plea agreement that ensured she would receive time serves as part of the agreement. Brian D smite is my public defender and he seems like he is doing a good job. You got to remember they deal with a lot of cases hundreds of cases they do the best they can to service all of us
