Beginning of a Tradition: PTK was opened originally in 1974; by two brothers. Back when Orientals were not as popular in every home, they opened up a small store in Milburn, New Jersey. Soon they were joined by two more in the family, and named the store by using the initials of their last names. After years of hard work and loyalty in their business, they changed the name of PTK to stand for Promises to Keep- by Robert Frost. The best of the best! Multi-generational family run business with worldly knowledge on rugs, repairs and cleaning. Bought my Persian wool rug 47 years ago and they remembered the rug when I went to have to it cleaned. Repaired the fringe and made the rug look brand new. Everyone is so helpful and had the option to have the rug picked up. Love this small business and a great staple in the community.

My partner and I purchased a beautiful Turkish rug from an estate sale, but it was quite dirty and needed more than just a vacuum. We found PTK and when we brought the rug in the employees were both kind and extremely knowledgeable about our rug. They were able to tell us the city in Turkey it was made and estimated an age as well. They quoted us a reasonable price and took the rug.
