The program was thorough and taught me a lot about how the mind works and the psychology behind it. I came to understand myself and how to make the most of my potential. Through 1 on 1 sessions and group sessions there was great communication and education about substances and how they affect the brain and body. Many resources were provided as well as support during and after the program. My counselor was very understanding and easy to work with.
What I learn from the course was DO NOT drinking and driving. It could be put yourself and the other life in danger. If I have to out to drink again in the future, I will rather call uber or have my friend and family pick me up. After these classes, being in a car hasn’t been the same. My experience with counseling has really helped me understand a lot of things I was completely unaware of prior. For example, I didn’t realize just how little amount of alcohol could affect your skills like driving , judgement and physical attributes. I also learned about the effect it has on others. Not just me.
