The PMHNP that owns this facility was my preceptor for 3 out of 5 of my clinical rotations for West Coast University. She was informative, provided evidence based teaching, and allowed her students to take part in the clinical sessions. Their were other students from other schools and we all learned from each other and shared information. She was the best preceptor I had while in school.
Psych Mind Solution really stands out as a business that cares about people. Mental health care can feel intimidating for a lot of people, but they have been able to create an environment that feels welcoming, respectful, and supportive. You can tell there is a real effort to treat people with kindness and professionalism, not just move them through the process. It’s always refreshing to see a practice that leads with compassion and takes the work seriously. Definitely worth coming.
I believe that Yvonka really does care about her patients, but she lacks the knowledge and skills for helping them get to a better place. She doesn’t seem to know how to ask questions in order to provide adequate or necessary care for her patients, and she does not listen to parents’ concerns. If you take your teen to her, know that once that teen turns 18, she will simply keep writing prescriptions, without making sure that’s the best solution.
I DO NOT recommend Yvonka Williams. Ms. Williams and her staff lack integrity, professionalism, and knowledge! I have had to report insurance fraud for Psy Mind Solutions. They have refused to reimburse me for services I received I received after I had met my out-of-pocket with Florida Blue. Also, their 3rd party company, Grow Therapy billed me for the same service on the same day. This is called double billing and is ILLEGAL!
