The PSU Rec Center is one of the best fitness facilities in Portland. The indoor bouldering gym is fantastic, the basketball courts are bright, spacious, and stocked with high-quality balls, and the swimming pool and hot tub are top-notch. The weightlifting area is well-equipped, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. A really well-rounded facility overall. After being without a cslf machine for over a year, you finally get a replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement is a seated calf machine which DOES NOT effectively work the entire muscle group. This is common knowledge, and easily researchable. So, when are you going to get an adequate piece of equipment? Is it going to be another year?
Love the rec center has fun activities, I love the swimming pool activities the kayaking and the master swim class are the best. All the employees are nice
My husband and I just checked this place out yesterday, sat in the hot tub while it rained, and then took a little mini tour. I am a chronic college drop out (close to getting my degree now thanks to PSU!) and have been to many school rec facilities in the Pacific Northwest (most of which consisted of old equipment and a basketball court).
