I had an incredible 90-minute massage with Robyn this week. I had 3 focus areas (old injuries) that Robyn was able to focus on and did so in a seamless way while also incorporating a fully body experience. Robyn checked in with me often on pressure level, but she was so intuitive that she required no adjustments during our time together. My massage with Robyn was incredibly disappointing—lazy technique, zero attention to detail, and to make it worse, Robyn was loudly slurping from a straw throughout the session. It happened repeatedly (at least 10 times), completely ruining any chance of relaxation. I stopped coming for a while after that, and when I finally returned, I was told I had two massages that had “expired.” That alone felt questionable…but what happened next was worse. Prior to visiting Psoas Massage + Bodywork, I hadn't experienced a focused sports massage before - most of my past massages were more along the lines of spa, Thai, or general wellness sessions. Because of that, the experience here felt very different, especially with the more conversational atmosphere.
