Mis-identified the issue, and did not fix the car resulting in hundreds of dollars out of pocket with no result. Further, they recommended an additional option that would have cost us thousands after their initial solution failed. Went to a different mechanic with more experience and the issue was correctly identified, and resolved with minimal cost for labour. Came very close to being over $5000 out of pocket for no solution.
