Proximo is a refreshing restaurant that closely approximate the tapas experience in Spain. Loved sitting at the counter watching the action a la plancha. Nice selection of small plates and a few large plates. Definitely recommend patatas bravas, the Bomba rice with poached egg, actually everything was delicious! I had to cancel my reservation well in advance and Proximo charged me $20. I know they rebooked the time because it was unavailable after just a couple of minutes. I called them and they were proudly defiant. There are too many other outstanding restaurants in Chapel Hill to choose Proximo.
First time and will definitely be back soon. Wanted to experience Spain because I will be spending a lot of time there next year. Everything fresh and delicious.
High quality food. Very attentive service.
Great service and food. Sat at the counter and watched the food being prepared which was a neat experience. Wine selection on point, server seemed knowledgeable and great recommendations. Lemon cake was delicious, all the food was very good but favorites were the green beans, atun and the crab.
