The radiologist who reviewed my dad's low dose chest CT scan found a 8 mm nodule that had grown from his previous scan. RADS guidelines were not followed...should have recommended follow up in 3 months or pet/CT. Instead, they sent letter saying follow up in a year. Fast forward 16 months and my dad had stage 4 lung cancer. This groups aggregious negligence of guidelines is unacceptable. My father passed away a month ago.
