I cannot say enough good things about the team at Providence St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chewelah. I came into the ER with severe abdominal pain, and from the moment I arrived, every single staff member treated me with kindness, compassion, and urgency. The entire team stayed on top of my care from start to finish. Within just a few hours, they had me through both a CT scan and an ultrasound to determine what was causing my pain. Honestly, I do not prefer to go here. It really depends who the attending is. In the future I will always ask how long the wait might be . I always show up they say their busy, and it doesn't seem like it. And you usually are waiting for 3 to 6 hours. This has been my experience a lot lately. Yesterday I waited 4 hours to be told nothing and the doctor was actually the worst I have ever experienced. The wait was to long, 3 hours to go back. This place is awful. The Dr didn’t follow through with labs. They gave a prescription for an infection but didn’t bother to send the sample to be tested so the antibiotics didn’t work. A week later the infection was much worse so we go back and get to be treated badly again. And they are extremely rude…Drive into Spokane if you can.
