Came in complaining of sharp chest pain, shortness of breath and lightheadedness. Got yelled at by front desk for asking a question out of turn (I thought I might be having a heart attack). Their solution? Get my ID copied, social security. 2 hours later I told them I was leaving. They said "come back if you're feeling worse". I then asked if they knew of other hospitals in the area and they shrugged their shoulders and said "I wouldn't know".
God awful. We have been waiting almost 6 hrs. My wufe is in so much pain she is crying. No one will help at all
The initial triage was exceptional, but after that the care was very poor, with nobody checking in on me or providing me updates. I had to creep to the door of my room with lines attached just to call out to ask to go to the bathroom, at which point my nurse, who had never come to introduce himself or check on me, asked me why I didn't use my call light - then saw I didn't have one. He said he would take care of that - but never did. No apologies, no compassion, no care. And still never came in to check on me. Initial triage... read more
The worst part was the wait after the triage- it was hard just to find someone who could get me a cup of water. That being said, staff was clearly doing their best, just busy. Waited for a room for 2.5 hours, but once I was back there things only went uphill. Came in due to severe pain, I was also throwing up and hardly able to breathe. They hooked me up to an IV and prescribed me some painkillers for at home. I left feeling like a completely new person. The nausea never returned and my appetite is back. Thank you Providence... read more
I was sent to the ER by my primary care Dr because I was hemorrhaging blood internally and having black tarry stools for 5 days. The ER Dr was completely dismissive, did not run any tests to determine the cause of the bleeding and sent me home. I’m continuing to bleed internally and told to go back to the ER by on call nurses but since I know the ER Dr will not actually help me or address my issue I’m not going back a second time.
