I was in severe pain and searching google for a hospital that wasn't gonna let me sit in the ER waiting room for hours. Especially because my health insurance isn't even active, it's in Pending status. After reading all the horror stories, I finally came across Ascension Providence. Simply the best. I had PCP pneumonia and let me tell you it was a terrifying and humbling experience for me. Fortunately when my symptoms started to make it difficult to ignore them (or care for myself effectively) I came right to Providence/Ascension. From the second I checked in, through all my initial testing/triage I was treated like royalty. Resident Courage Idahor was awful. His first encounter with my 6 year old daughter, he pulled on her trying to force her to come to him upon first meeting her. No empathy, no sympathy, no talking to her first. When he numbed her finger due to an injury during a dance rehearsal practice at the Music Hall with her dance company, he gave her five shots but by the second one he let the needle slip out his hands while it was still in my daughter’s finger and she screamed bloody hell and my heart was shattered. Minimum waiting time friendly staff to care about my issues I was very much satisfied
