Given the length of time it took for this clinic to call once a surgery referral was approved, then the length of time before the first available appointment, they should not be considered to offer to help people with neurological conditions. 2.5 months for a condition that's preventing adequate sleep, or the ability to work, or drive. It's a condition that is worsening and the nerve damage may become more permanent the longer the wait. Any hopes of getting fixed and back to work using paid leave are impossible with this cli... read more

Hopefully you do not need care right away, I have called several times to check on the status of my referral I've been told that it can take 3 weeks and that providers are on Vacation, six weeks later I tried to check on the status again of my referral and I was told that the Provider that my referral was given to for review has been on Vacation for the last month, seven weeks later I'm still waiting for someone to review my referral so that I can get on the schedule, I sure hope that I don't have nerve damage. Good Luck

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Whitney and his staff. After a bad experience with a spine surgeon in Post Falls, Idaho, I sought a second opinion from Dr. Whitney, and I’m so glad I did. He performed my L4-L5 fusion surgery, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. I was up and walking the next day. Dr. Whitney’s bedside manner and attention to my needs were outstanding. He truly listens to his patients and provides compassionate, expert care. If you’re looking for a skilled and caring spine surgeon, I high... read more

“wE dOn’T dO sEcOnD oPiNiOnS.” I was originally approved for spine surgery for sciatica and severe disc herniations by Dr. John Shuster at Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists. However, he and their other spine surgeon left the practice before I was able to get surgery. Dr. Shuster put in a referral for me to see Dr. Nathaniel Whitney at Providence Neurosurgery & Spine (PNS); that is, I was directly referred by another spine surgeon! At first, PNS refused to even schedule an appointment for me because they “don’t do second opin... read more

I had became paralized from the waist down, from guillain-barre syndrome, and this hospital found spinal cord flattening, spinal cord signaling errors, inflammation in the spinal cord, and abnormal spinal fluid cell counts, and the drs claimed my problem was all in my head, even though I had EKG confirmed a heart attack, which is another symptom of guillain-barre. I nearly died in their care, and they blamed me for it.
