If only I could give ZERO stars...Providence Imaging is the most unorganized, dysfunctional & unprofessional medical facility I have ever visited. Trying to make an appointment was like trying to move mountains. Over the course of a week, I left 3 voice mails with the Hendersonville office, in addition to an email. I also called the Asheville location & left a message with the office manager Pat after my 4 failed attempts at having someone contact me from the HVL office. Guess what...Pat never called me back either! I have worked in the medical field for 20+ years & when an unhappy patient who has experienced multiple issues with your facility leaves a message for you, the office manager, YOU call them back. I FINALLY got a call from someone with Providence 2 days after I left the message for the office manager. Of course I was given the tried & true “system issues” excuse as to why I wasn’t called back. System issues do not explain why someone didn’t at least call me to tell me what was going on. You let a patient leave you 5 messages in over a weeks time & don’t bother to call them once!! Communication is the most simple form of care you can extend to a person. So I decide to give Providence a second chance to redeem themselves & schedule an appt for a specific day & time so that I could meet with the radiologist while there & get my results that day. This is the only reason I decided to stay with Providence & not have my Rx sent to a different facility. I arrive for my appointment & the receptionist asks me to verify the scans I’m having done that day. She did not mention anything about me seeing the radiologist, so I spoke up & told her I’m also supposed to see the radiologist today to discuss my results. Imagine my surprise when the receptionist says the radiologist had gone home (mind you it’s only 9:30am). Apparently they again had “system issues” & my radiologist appointment did not show up on their schedule so the radiologist went home. Unbelievable!! The only thing that was offered to remedy the situation was rescheduling my appt to next week, which wasn’t an option because I had already taken the day off today to get this done. Please, please do yourself a huge favor & avoid Providence Imaging. I will be seeking a different facility when it comes time for my scans next year.
