I went to Asc. Prov. at 2100 Lake Shore today. During check on a tablet there was a section I did not agree to and could not continue. I went to the desk and explained I did not agree to the section. Melanie (what she said her name was) said you have to agree to it to continue. She checked agree, pushed other things and said I was checked in. I explained she just falsified my record, and I asked for a copy. She said she could not get me a copy, trying to explain it was on a tablet. She tried to get her manager, was too bus... read more

My husband and I have had numerous visits to Providence in the past several years.  His recent visit was for three days. And he was on the 4th floor north.  We wanted to thank the wonderful nursing staff that took care of him.  Special thanks to RN Erica Danko who was very kind, patient, and efficient and very easy to talk to.  Also great care from Bry Hutton and Anna.  They all came quickly when called and brought him everything he needed, explained meds, etc.   thanks again and to others that didnt remember your names…. 1/5/24 Arrived by ambulance to the Providence ER. Was having burning sensations throughout my chest & back. I thought I was having a heart attack. I didn't want to call for help in hopes it would subside and, in fact, waited at home for an hour and it did not. I checked my blood pressure HIGH (161/104) and called for help. EMS was incredible as were the firefighters. EMS transported me over to hospital and ER staff sent me out to the waiting room to wait....and wait....and wait.... Sat in the ER for 7 hrs. Since Ascension bought Providence things have gone down hill. We spent 8 days our first stay and 5 our second stay. The "hospitalists" flew in and out of the room without giving us any needed information. I finally pinned one of them down to find out what I needed to know. We have used Providence for 15 years and never had such a terrible time. If I was just reviewing the nurses and aides I would give them 5 stars!
