Inconsiderate of the fact there's hotels with people sleeping they're riding next to and decide to blast loud speakers and music at 7am on a Sunday and wake everyone up. Maybe save the obscene volume for a normal hour.
Loved being able to bike for miles without worrying about traffic, ride across highways, and obviously support a good cause. Also really appreciated all the stops with free service and food, and the water/bathroom stations too. Unfortunately, marring the experience is the fact that you spend a lot of the ride (in terms of time) having to borderline walk your bike through bottlenecks. Fantastic and fun event with my GF and our friends. It's an annual opportunity to enjoy the freedom and pleasure of riding around the city and on bridges entirely by bike unimpeded by cars, something that's already integrated in daily life for some countries (Netherlands for example) while the US lags behind. You can't beat zooming by traffic on 405 on bike - a stark reminder of just how inefficient cars and car infrastructure is! I'm thankful for Providence and Portland for setting this up every year.
