I'd suggest avoiding buying a home from Meritage Homes in Sterling Ranch. Their design is really poor, and when you point out issues, they don't care and say they can't do anything about it because it's not in the specs. This pretty much sums up their customer service. I've had less issues in my previous new home in the first two years than I've had with Meritage in just a month, and they doubt you as if you're manufacturing issues.
