I have been going yearly since we moved to KY in 1978. My mother would drop off our empty hanging baskets and early May we would return to select our garden plants, pick up our beautiful baskets and away we would go! I have always loved going through the greenhouses. I was just there this previous weekend to drop mine off for planting. My mom's passed on now but this was a tradition we had that I can now share with my boys.
Russell and Co. are far and away the most knowledgeable people I have ever met regarding plants. I come here every year and the plants that I buy are always hardy, productive, and of the finest quality! I picked up a couple plants from the co-op on a whim to fill in some space and I must say that they cannot compare at all. 100% of my plant purchases now come from Proper Plants. Their standards and expertise are second to none.
We will be back! Such a great place!
