They lie about filling tanks and charge for doing it when they haven't. They called us 'lazy bastards' on a bill. They are not "for you." Avoid this company if you can.

I have been an Amerigas customer for 6 years, but only on occasion. It proved to be faulty most of the time but this time has been horrific. I ordered propane on the 15th of February of 2022, and they told me the propane would be here is 5 days. Then I received an e-ail and it said it would be here in the approximate time of 5 days more. Still not here BUT I have definitely been charged the $689.00 on my credit card. We called when we were at 30%. They promised to come within 2 weeks to fill our tanks. Two weeks pass and nothing. After 3 weeks, we were on reserve and called and called. They promised to come within 24 hr then promised to come as soon as possible then promised to put us on emergency. We went 2 days without heat before they finally came. We had to call every other hour for a day to get them to come. They then had to check to make sure there were no leaks since tanks had been completely empty. Amerigas service and prices are the worst. They don't show up when promised. Amerigas is charging $4.069 per gallon, their competitor is charging 2.39 per gallon. I would say that is price gouging. Won't be a customer next year. They don't deserve a star.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. We use Amerigas to heat our home, hot water, for cooking, legitimately EVERYTHING. We placed our order on February 23rd. We received a confirmation that our delivery would arrive on March 2nd. March 2nd rolls around and there is NO sign of Amerigas. We called them and were informed it would take another 24 hours. Unfortunately, Amerigas is the only propane provider serving my rural location. While delivery is fast and easy to order on-line their customer service is minimal and the worst is their billing. When you sign up for their payment plan you have to pay every month, even when you have paid off your bill. They say you are paying toward the future, but their billing is difficult to read (and I'm educated, they serve a large number of uneducated customers), so you really can't know when you've paid off a delivery. Amerigas is a horrible company. Hiked my prices over a dollar per gallon over current local market price with no notice. When I tried to talk to someone about it I get sent to a snippy VA in the phillipenes, nice one AMERIgas. When I finally got to someone to talk about it they said they would file a ticket with billing and be back in touch. Well they got back in touch with nothing but a late fee. These people are criminals and I will never use them again.

Dear sir or madam, Or or about September 20, 2021 I called and spoke with your Topsfield, MA office and informed them I was moving on November 1, 2021 and requested the cancelation of the account and that no further deliveries be made. It appears that in early January of 2022, you made a delivery to ** ******Rd Stoneham, MA 02180 and are now invoicing me for the delivery, a total charge of $367.44. The company used to be decent, now the 5oo gal propane tank has been sitting on my property since last September. Our builders asked for the removal but it is still here! I have been calling the Amerigas - nothing is happening. Please avoid this company at all costs!
