I have written to the company, and their response was that although the tomatoes were popular, that they were not popular enough. I am beyond upset. My gravy is NOT the same. Please bring them back!
You have got to be kidding me!!! My gravy (sauce) cannot be as yummy as it has always been before. I am so disappointed. Please please please bring them back ! I was shocked to see they took these items off the shelves....yet the lousy soup is still available? I make my own soup! BRING 'EM BACK ! This is terrible! Just raise a price a bit and bring them back !
I cannot believe what I just read about discontinuing Progresso Tomato Puree & Crushed tomatoes. We have been using these for over 30 years to make our sauce....no other brand holds a candle to Progresso. PLEASE BRING IT BACK TO THE SHELVES! My kids keep telling me my sauce taste funny - its the "other" tomatoes I have to use. I will never be able to pass down my mothers sauce to my children as it just isn't her sauce anymore......
CRISTMAS WAS NOT THE SAME WITHOUT PROGRESSO CRUSHED TOMATOES FOR THE SAUCE FOR MY HOMEMADE RAVIOLI!!!!!! THIS IS FROM A 100% ITALIAN. NEVER HAD TO ADD SUGAR TO MY SAUCE AND IT WAS NEVER ACIDIC. PLEASE BRING THEM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!! I TRIED 5 OTHER BRANDS!! YUK
OMG...Just found out Progresso discontinued the tomato products. My family has used these products for our Christmas Lasagne recipe for 40 years. I can't imagine making our homemade sauce using one of those "other" brands. Why couldn't they keep the product in areas that sold it, and offer it online to others.
I think that stinks. Whoever bought the company should have left well enough alone, including their roasted peppers in the jar, and sweet fried peppers. We won't even talk about how wonderful the crushed tomatoes were. Very sad.....
I called Progresso Consumer Affairs at 800-200-9377 and was told some of their products, including their top-ranked crushed tomatoes, are discontinued.
WAS TOLD IN PUBLIX 3 DAYS AGO THAT PROGRESSO IS OUT OF BUSINESS AND I HAD TO BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT OF TOMATO PUREE AND CRUSHED TOMATOES AND CANELLI BEANS AND GARBONZO BEANS. THANK YOU.
