I have been seeing Dr Barlis for a few years. He listens carefully and has a welcoming manner. His attention to detail helped save my life as he managed to pick up on and then act on things that had been previously missed. I highly recommend him.

My husband is under his care for the last 8 weeks. Very professional honest kind and easy to approach. My husband felt very comfortable with his decision to undergo bypass surgery and recovering well. We recommend Prof Barlis with utmost trust.

I am a doctor who called with a patient's permission to get records of recent visits to Prof Barlis. The receptionists were unhelpful, kept putting me on hold, then told me they never put me on hold and that they had already told me they couldn't help me. I call specialist rooms frequently and have not encountered this unprofessionalism before. I fear for patients who call for information when fellow specialists are treated with such distain.

Extremely unprofessional and rude receptionist. Called to inquire about correspondence but before I even got to this and was still introducing myself, I was abruptly cut off with a curt “can you wait, I’m in the middle of something!” I am very willing to wait but she was awful and I was left quite stunned. She then became even more unpleasant when I asked her some reasonable questions regarding a follow up appointment. It’s disheartening when people exhibit unkind behaviour like this, particularly in professional settings.
