I trusted my lawyer to stick up for me when I needed it most. We lost the case, which is fine. But then he emailed me that we have a great chance to go back to court and win this time and all I heard was how I was going to pay more. I needed to win this case, like everyone feels that they do. If he thought we could get him a second time, why not give it that energy the first time? I will be representing myself next time which will cost me $2,100 less
I called to speak with an attorney, possibly a free consultation to figure out which route to go in my very complicated case. However, the older woman with a very raspy voice who answered the call, was very rude, unwilling to help, and stated fees in a form as if I was unable to afford this firm. I made a mistake calling this firm, hopefully the next client isn't met with such a dismissive attitude in an already trying time in their life.
Had an attorney, Kellen O'Brien, from this firm who didn't listen to me and just racked up charges on very simple post trial family hearings He was told multiple times his job was to represent in front of a judge, and to stay out of negotiations. He must read very slow and know the law very little.
As a single father I spent 3200 retainer and lost my money with ZERO results in 2 court appearances. Told "She won more with less information." BS she and her male counterpart got shut down in 2 court appearances with only 5 min talk time. Judge could not get my son's last name right with the change being made months before Jane was hired. Lawyer could not even correct the judge on incorrect info. I suggest males go to another office if you want your child.
