The doctors and nurses we dealt with in general I have no issues with. However, being told ver batum that our daughters situation and care is “secondary” not as important as other patients being seen, as a justification for an hour wait in the doctors room is a soup sandwich and blatant disrespect to patients schedules and time. Dr. Elliot Chen is a very skilled surgeon, and I want to clearly acknowledge that. However, the quality of care provided by his nursing staff and the post-operative follow-up process has been consistently poor, to the point that it has affected my healing and safety. I have a long surgical history with Dr. Chen. Before the age of 21, he performed two keloid removal surgeries on my ear, and this year alone I have undergone three pilonidal cyst surgeries under his care. The have the worst scheduling team on hand. I had my consultation on Oct. 17th, they didn’t send the information to my insurance until Oct. 31st. My insurance only took 5 days to get back to them, requesting more information, yet it took them TWO whole months to respond to my insurance. My insurance has responded back but I’ve been waiting a week to get a call from prisma. I’ve had to call over and over again, to get them to do THEIR job.
