I came to this office for my last pregnancy and it was great until postpartum. Mary beck has been my doctor during postpartum and she lacks bedside manner and I feel like she’s constantly judging. For example, I was supposed to for birth control told her I didn’t want a IUD and she basically did everything she could to convince me to . Great facility and great staff. Sure there was a doctor or two that had a weird bedside manner, same with the nurses. Overall, really knowledgeable and ultimately successfully helped monitor mom and baby for and even after delivery!
Switched to their office at 20 weeks. Doctor Twedt came in and said she didn’t have my records yet from mfm and did I have any questions. Informed her I felt like I had a yeast infection and she said it’s just moisture (without even looking) even though I get chronic yeast anytime I’ve been pregnant. Asked if I need a medicine refill and said they would do my glucola test at next visit. Dr. MacClenahan has the WORST bedside manner. She couldn’t have cared less about my feelings or bodily autonomy. She literally traumatized me.
I can’t say enough good things about Piedmont OB. I moved from Columbia during my pregnancy, they got me in quickly and picked up right where I left off at my previous OB. All of the providers are not only extremely knowledgeable but empathetic and personable. From the front desk personnel to the nurses to the lab staff, this office has really got it going on.
