I know people are complaining about the ER, but when I came in with possible sepsis, they were fast ,efficient, and kind in their care. Did they talk over me to get things done? Absolutely, it was an emergency. Did they check in after each test to make sure my pain and breathing were getting better? Yes. I stayed for 4 days and the every person that came to care for me was kind, efficient, professional, and knew their stuff. The nurses to the custodial staff and the dieticians delivering food. I came for chest pain that goes down my left arm and I cant take a full breath without being in pain. The doctor told me it was GI issues and gave me Tylenol. Told me to see my family doctor. Then sent me home. Ive never been more dismissed and neglected by a hospital in my life. I laid in my room for hours in pain having to ask multiple times for something to help. This ER is unfortunately not helpful at all. The doctor totally dismissed my concerns and basically told me to go see my family doctor (which I did twice during the week, that's why I came to ER on weekend). He didn't seem like he knew what to do in my case. Or simply didn't care. I have a severe upper arm infection. He did cultures from blood, which after a little bit of research online I found out is most likely not going to show anything because in this case, culture should be taken from The discharge or even a biopsy. Short staffed, short on supplies, less professional than Greenville Memorial. Help this place get better. It’s subpar.
