I was admitted with a bullet wound here a few years ago. The surgeons, maternity personal, and those in triage are a godsend. Only 4 stars though, for good reason. While I was waiting for surgery, the nurse not only treated me as a drug seeker (no addict history) when I litterally had a 9mm bullet in me, she was supposed to call the surgeon in the event that the wounds condition worsened, specifically, watching for compartment syndrome. I went to the emergency for severe groin pain today at about 3 P.M. I have never seen such efficiency and never waited more than a few minutes as they carted me from place to place. Everything was done with great care and compassion. I found out what was wrong, and that, while painful, was not life threatening. I was given a pill for pain, a prescription to pick up, and some hope that there was a surgical option if the pain could not be managed. I was truly impressed; what a great team of people this facility has assembled.
