I was under wound care with a home health agency and things were progressing well. Im not sure why, but Priority Wound Care was called in to assist/consult. The PA, Tenika, came in and made changes to what the current nurse was doing. She shortened the bandage changes from 7 days a week to 3 and added Vashe to the product ( I was not aware of the reduction of the frequency at this time and the added product) On the second visit, she made me aware she did not know we were doing it daily. Theres no words I can use to explain the leve of love & kindness shown by all nurses and Staff here! They took me on as a patient when my PCP left my insurance and its been a wonderful experience . There is no way to say how happy I am with all aspects of my care, they are knowledgeable and well trained with every part of my care. I'm still being treated and in their care. Let me tell everyone something I learned about Priority Wound Care. I was left without insurance and after a bowel resection surgery was in dire straits. I learned that the owners at the time of her death was not even afforded such care. The owner made it her mission to make sure that in the future people that need wound care would have it and so she set about it and it is the reason I was able to get care. Mandy was the greatest. She was patient and gentle when she could be. We've had priority out to our house for myself, my wife and my mother in law several times. Absolutely no problem or complaints.
The worst when it comes to home care. They are unorganized and unresponsive. When I first got out the hospital, the nurses and doctors told me Priority will call me the first day after I was discharged from the hospital. Two days after I was discharged I personally had to reach out to them and schedule visits. When I did they sounded as if they had no clue what I was saying. They will not show up when they tell you personally when they're going to. And when you call them to find out why they didn't show up? Good luck. They j... read more
