I use the healthcare marketplace every year to get insurance coverage for myself. This year I switched to Priority Health, after having thoroughly looked through their details on what they cover and who accepts their insurance. I have some medications that I have been on for years that they refuse to approve. Even with a prior authorization from my doctor and a covered diagnosis, they STILL do not want allow me to get my regular prescriptions unless I switch to 2 other medications and have FAILED test results on said medicat... read more
Less coverage than other providers. My doctor orders the same bloodwork every year for my physical and it's always been covered by insurance. I switched to Priority this year and they didn't cover half of the bloodwork. I had a video call with a PA to schedule a 5 year colonoscopy and just received the bill for that call. Priority did not pay but the prior one was covered by insurance. Priority seems to cover less. I thought these preventative items were covered and I regret selecting them.
I have been forced to use Priority Health for the last 2 years, going into my third year. Formerly I had MESSA, so perhaps that is why they feel particularly bad. My first experience with Priority Health was with my father. He worked at a small private school - Interlochen Arts Academy for a few decades.
